Proyectos Ultravioleta presents: A space to meet art, spend time between nature and culture, see, listen, feel and think.

Museum Of Art and Contemporary Design Of Costa Rica
San José, Costa Rica

Traditionally ‘relegating’ to perfect spaces and environments conducive to artistic appreciation, art is once again related to everyday life in a surprising way.
The white cube loses its relevance while discovering or allowing new ways of relating to the production of culture, of meaning, and instead favors informality and everyday spaces as an ad hoc place to see an exhibition, witness a performance or walk through a sculpture or installation.
The idea that art is in the eyes of those who look at it seems to gain renewed validity and this makes us all potential artists, but it also modifies the functioning of the traditional structures of the artistic medium. It is within this framework that Proyectos Ultravioleta proposes the creation of a space in which the Museum (with a capital M) gives rise to an environment in which the relationship with art is confused with our approach to other aspects of life: social interaction, nature, pleasure and thought.
