Fernando Iturbide "Nacho" (Guatemala 1951-1993) was an extremely
vitalist and versatile Guatemalan artist. Incursioning in the world of spectacle, sculpture, fashion design, writing and painting. From
his pictorial work we can highlight his results, between essentia-lism and colorism. His paintings remained anonymous for years, being unknown to the specialized and general public circuit, both in Guatemala and abroad.

Throughout his life, he traveled the world and resided in Guatemala,
Los Angeles, London and New York, soaking up the latest tendencies
and avant-garde trends of the time. He finally returned to Guatemala
in 1992, and died one year after complications with HIV.

After his death, his nephews founded an organization with his name,
designed to help prevent the spread of the HIV virus.
